WORLD’S LARGEST YOUTH MARKETING FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES TRIO OF NEW UPDATES FOR 2023

YMS, the world’s largest youth marketing festival, celebrates its 12th year with its largest event yet, uniting the largest collection of Gen Z specialists with a range of exciting updates, including:

  • Two innovative new content tracks on Creators and Social Impact (to match Gen Z’s evolving priorities and interests).
  • An all-new stage exclusively for emerging start-ups to showcase their Gen Z prowess.
  • Showcasing YMS’ largest number of speakers and biggest volume of content to date.

The new adaptations aim to help brands better understand how to engage with young people amidst the current day problems Gen Z face including the cost of living crisis, competitive job markets, and the ever-evolving student experience.

Running for over a decade across Europe and the USA, Youth Marketing Strategy (YMS) aims to bridge the gap between young people aged 16-24, brands, and the real trends impacting the lives of Gen Z today.

This year’s event will showcase 125 expert voices throughout its planned talks as well as boasting 27 hours of authoritative content in total. Key speakers at the event include representatives from TikTok, ASOS, Depop, Amazon, and UCAS, as well as Voxburner and its sister company Student Beans.

YMS LDN 2023 will also premier its new FutureTech LIVE! Stage, aimed to empower emerging startups through an exciting pitching competition. Brands will have the opportunity to pitch their relevance to Gen Z for a chance to win a lucrative year’s subscription to the premium content service, Voxburner+.

The event also continues to proudly be a DICE-certified event, showcasing Voxburner’s commitment to ensuring speakers, agenda, and attendees are representative of the current world we live in.

The event will unite over 1,000 global brands, offering 50+ culturally relevant exhibitors, and nine content tracks, including two all new focuses on Creators and Social Impact. Key tracks from the event include:

  • Higher Education Marketing Track & Student Marketing Track – Understanding the ongoing changes to the student experience, especially amidst the COL crisis.
  • The Future of Work Track – How to attract, engage, and retain Gen Z talent.
  • Creator Track & Social Media Track – Keeping up with the pace of the ever-evolving social media landscape by utilising Gen Z favoured strategies.
  • Innovation & Disruptor Track – The innovative product and marketing ideas that can be used to engage with Gen Z.
  • E-Commerce Track  – The Gen Z E-Com trends fuelling today’s industries.
  • Social Impact Track – Exploring the brands championing and supporting young people today.

Rick Jackson, General Manager at Voxburner, says the event comes at a pivotal time for brands to adapt their marketing strategies:

‘With so many changes in the world today, the Gen Z marketing strategies we have been using recently are already feeling outdated. Events like YMS provide brands with the lucrative opportunity to hear from experts in their field, unpack the insights behind Gen Z behaviour, and network with like-minded individuals.

‘Our brilliant panels, made up of both industry voices and Gen Z speakers, are an indispensable tool for any marketer or brand representative who wants to learn how to truly get to the heart of Gen Z.

‘We’ve done a lot to ensure this year’s YMS LDN is representative of current affairs, whether that’s adding new tracks to address Gen Z’s changing mindsets or ensuring our speaker list is bigger and better than ever. We’re all really excited to hear what brands take away from this year’s festival, our biggest event yet’

YMS LDN 2023 will take place on 7-8 June at The Old Truman Brewery. Tickets can be bought here, starting from £550 per person.

Voxburner is also offering those facing recent layoffs the chance to attend the event for free, available on a first-come basis to those who apply here.
