Prince Regent Street Trust Set To Welcome Regional And National Educators For Major Primary Education Conference

Regional and national multi-academy trust leaders, school headteachers, teachers, governors and other education professionals are being invited to attend the inaugural conference of Stockton-on-Tees based Prince Regent Street Trust as it celebrates its fifth anniversary.

The externally-focused conference, titled ’Excellence in the Everyday’, will take place at Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield on Tuesday 1st November. Prince Regent Street Trust, an-all-primary school multi-academy trust founded in 2017 and now comprising Hartburn Primary School, Village Primary School and Wolviston Primary School, has devised a compelling agenda featuring national and internationally-renowned experts, in line with its moral purpose to deliver excellence for every child in every school.

Speakers include Joanne Walker, Director of Carmel Research School at Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust which focuses on supporting schools across the Tees Valley to use evidence-informed resources to break the link between family income and education attainment, on behalf of the Education Endowment Foundation; James Nottingham, creator of the Learning Pit, and an expert on enhancing children’s self-efficacy and engagement; Kieran Rose, author and speaker on supporting educators to better understand their autistic learners; Dr Barry Hymer, Emeritus Professor of Psychology in Education at the University of Cumbria; and for the keynote address world-renowned speaker and author Richard Gerver, an expert in leadership and education to unleash human potential.

“As part of our fifth anniversary we wanted to bring people together from across the sector, including and beyond the Tees Valley, to discuss some of the major challenges and opportunities we have as educators,” said Julia Armstrong, Chief Executive of Prince Regent Street Trust. “We strongly believe that every child has the right to the highest quality education, and while that may look very different in every school, alongside our engaging and experienced speakers we believe that everyone will leave our conference inspired and invigorated to deliver that to children following a couple of turbulent years filled with countless disruptions. We are really looking forward to the day, and want to attract everyone from senior leaders and governors to classroom support staff.”

Julia will also speak at the conference alongside members of the Trust Executive Team, including Chair of Trust Kay Steven, Chief Finance & Operations Officer Ryan Powner and recently-appointed Director of School Improvement Keith Morrison. Keith, who was previously General Adviser at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and formerly a headteacher, has created a revised school improvement offer and a number of CPD opportunities for staff and governors since his arrival earlier this year.

Additionally, following the Government’s recently-published Schools White Paper which requires all schools to be part of a multi-academy trust by 2030, Prince Regent Street Trust has introduced a new ‘Try before you buy’ two term offer. This bespoke package of support includes development opportunities for headteachers, leaders including governors, teaching and non-teaching staff, covering school improvement and finance and operational opportunities. Schools can access this initially, before deciding whether to join the Trust.

Julia added: “The ethos of Prince Regent Street Trust is fundamentally one of sustainable school improvement. All three of our schools are Good or Outstanding, yet are very different in so many ways, but we have a very successful primary ethos which enables all children to maximise their potential whilst retaining the autonomy of individual schools. We also have a number of associate member schools who are benefitting from working with us through our two term offer, and we want to extend that to others.”

Throughout September, anyone interested in attending the ’Excellence in the Everyday’ Conference can take up the Trust’s ‘£30 off for 30 days offer’, meaning they can attend for just £95 (including breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day). Delegates can use the 30SEPTEMBER discount code when booking online or by invoice. Further discounts are also available for multi-academy trusts, federations, and other organisations wishing to send multiple delegates to the conference.

In addition, this discount code can also be used for two training sessions: a staff CPD session, An Introduction to Curriculum Leaders, on Friday 23rd September at 9.30am; and a governance session, A Journey through the Curriculum, on Tuesday 27th September at 4.30pm, saving 30% on the current £40 ticket price. Both will be held at Fusion Hive, North Shore Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 2NB.
