Positive Psychologist From Edinburgh Gets Uri Geller’s Seal Of Approval

A Positive Psychology Master Coach and Intuitive Breakthrough Coach from Edinburgh is celebrating for many reasons this week – not least for having become a best selling author after her newly released book hit the charts beating Googlebox vicar Kate Bottley and Hungarian-Canadian Physician and Author, Gabor Maté CM to see her sit in the Number 1 slot in applied psychology, women’s spirituality and personal transformation  – but also because she’s attracted the support from none other than magician, television personality, and self-proclaimed psychic, Uri Geller.

Sending her a video message of support from Israel, Uri Geller congratulated Iona Russell, 52, for creating ‘Elemental Abundance’ –  a book that “will change people’s lives”. Messaging her to say “Well done for writing it” he describes the book as ‘fantastic – informative, mind opening, amazing”.

Already an International multiple best selling author, a speaker and radio presenter, Iona, who’s mission is helping people live a life of purpose, is no stranger to sharing her voice, in her role as ‘the coaches coach, the leader’s leader and the healer’s healer’ however she says this book feels different to her.

Sharing ‘the 4 keys to unlocking your full hearted life’ Iona delves into our four elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire and explores how balancing these elements and integrating them into the way we live opens up ‘pure abundance’. Iona describes herself as ‘a nature junkie’ – someone who grew up as a hippie child, in the free spirited 70’s, on a Welsh farm, with Buddhist parents – and it’s back to nature she has returned as she found her true connection to herself in later life.

She said:”I return to nature for support, release, inspiration and connection and in this book I share my journey, and tools. Having written every word, and also recorded the audio version it has my energy interwoven into it from all angles. I’m delighted it has been so well received already as my heart and soul is poured into here, as part of my mission to get people to really show up with their heart, so they can tap into the thing they are here to do. I have said yes to a lot to make this book happen, and indeed to create a life I love to live and I want more people to say yes to their potential, and opportunities. Sharing your voice authentically, and doing the work you want to see done in the world attracts fabulous opportunities – but we will also need to do some of the scary asks to create these infinite possibilities.”

Someone who is a huge believer of the power of tapping into our true potential is Award Winning Positive Psychologist MSc IPPA, Bestselling Hay House author and coach, Niyc Pidgeon, who wrote the Foreword to Iona’s book.  Niyc who earlier this year joined Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island as part of a business expansion retreat said: “This book will help you to continue to commit to living with a sense of curiosity and exploration so you can open up new territory within your life, within your body and within your heart. Our opportunity …is to come back to ourselves, to remember the power and truth of who we are, and this book will help you do exactly that”.

As an introduction to the book Iona shares her story from childhood, surrounded by movie stars and ‘mountain men’ and we hear of her wild child tendencies with drink, psychedelic drugs, and eating disorders as a teenager  – living a chaotic life of a broken family, which left her feeling worthless, and suicidal.

She said: “For many years I felt like an outsider, different, unusual, like I couldn’t’ find my place in the world, or understand why I was here –  and the heaviness of this was all encompassing – until I realised I was the one in control of my own path. I realised this was my magic, this is what made me ME”.

In Iona’s book we hear how she travelled the world to find her purpose, finding adventures to mask her pain. She shares how she found spirituality, and eventually happiness, after she left America to return to Scotland as a single mother, fuelled by the grief of losing her own mother. Her lived experience is served up for us to learn from, but moreover, Iona enlightens us with her reflections and teachings whilst inviting her readers to also reflect on their own lives.

Iona’s book is now available at https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1914447891?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_XMBWYT5MNG0WXZZCSAFT
