New Business Supports SMEs Across South Hertfordshire

A new company offering support to small business owners has been launched in South Hertfordshire.

The Alternative Board (TAB) is bringing its unique blend of personal coaching and monthly facilitated board meeting to SMEs across the region, led by owner Andrew Butchart.

TAB South Herts will work alongside business owners in Borehamwood, Elstree, Radlett, Potters Bar, New Barnet, Stanmore and Edgeware, encouraging collaboration and helping them identify and achieve their commercial goals.

With over 25 years of experience as a business leader, Andrew has personally witnessed the triumphs and trials of entrepreneurship. He successfully founded and grew an IT consultancy, and later transitioned to senior sales management and alliance roles in start-up hi-tech companies.  Now Andrew is sharing his personal and professional experience through TAB, helping business owners improve their ventures and transform their lives for the better.

Combining entrepreneurial flair with sound business acumen, Andrew brings a unique perspective to his role as a TAB facilitator and coach. He understands that leaders at all stages of their business journey can benefit from investing time working on their business rather than merely in it.

“I am delighted to be bringing TAB to South Herts, a county that is home to numerous leading brands but also boasts a rich array of SMEs,” commented Andrew.  “My professional experience has given me far reaching insights into the challenges faced by business owners and a clear understanding of the strategies required to overcome them.  Through TAB I hope I can empower local SME owners to take greater control of their company’s futures, stepping back to see the bigger picture and investing time in ensuring they are fulfilled in both their professional and personal capacities.”

TAB is the world’s largest franchise system providing peer advisory boards and business coaching to business owners.  TAB has hundreds of SME members across the UK, from sectors ranging from logistics, to manufacturing and marketing.

Andrew discovered TAB at the annual International Franchise Show held at ExCeL in London and knew immediately that it was the perfect business model for him:

“I know from my own experience that running a business can be lonely and often puts a lot of pressure on the individual at the top. I wanted the autonomy of being in control of my destiny again and decided a franchise would be a safe route to achieving that while also being supported by an established and successful brand. TAB appealed to me as it delivers a level of support that I wish I had received when I set up my business in the early 2000s.

“The combination of personal coaching with a sounding board of encouraging local peers is invaluable.  TAB delivers the board that most SMEs can’t afford in terms of support across all aspects of the business from HR and operations to finance and marketing.  I am passionate about helping local SMEs identify and surpass their goals and am confident that TAB offers the perfect forum for this.”

Andrew is currently creating his first peer group of aspirational business owners and is inviting any interested parties to get in touch.
