Tech entrepreneur, investor and sales expert Ryan McAnlis is launching one of the UK’s fastest growing sales advisory and training companies in Northern Ireland.
Named in 2021 as one of North West England’s Most Exciting Companies by Insider magazine, Sales Geek is a multi-award-winning provider of sales consultancy expertise and sales training for businesses of all sizes across the UK and internationally.
Now launching Sales Geek in Northern Ireland, Ryan McAnlis’ sales career began in 2004 as Corporate Sales & Channel Sales Manager for MessageLabs (now part of Symantec) focussed on SME growth development, before joining Cisco, developing his role up to Regional Manager Northern Ireland.
He then joined JAR Technologies as Sales & Marketing Director, later being promoted to CEO where he was responsible for building the company up to its acquisition by Calnex Solutions, after which he joined Techstart Ventures as an Investment Director for the last four years before joining Sales Geek.
Established in 2017, Blackburn-headquartered Sales Geek has doubled in size every year since launch, opening offices in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Bolton, Coventry, Leicester, Shropshire, and North Wales in the last year alone, while its Sales Geek Hub app now has users across the globe.
On launching Sales Geek Northern Ireland, McAnlis said: “My Northern Ireland network is strongest in start-ups and scales-ups from my recent tech investor role with Techstart. But sales is my background and is in my blood.
“I passionately believe that if Northern Ireland is going to achieve its regional growth agenda, then sales skills have to be a massive part of that. In order to grow the economy, we need more revenue, simple as that.
