M-Cube launches cross-cultural seasonal sounds to transform in-store retail over the festive period

Music selection has no reference to religious content or overtly Western values, creating a truly inclusive audio experience
London, UK; 9th December, 2022: In-Store Digital Engagement company M-Cube has launched its “Eventually, Christmas” music selection to provide inclusive songs to stores over the festive holidays. The music selection aims to create a convivial, traditional and festive atmosphere; moving away from the stereotypes of Christmas music while embracing cross-culturalism.

M-Cube creates meaningful in-store journeys by sound tracking the retail experience. Its unique festive songs lean toward instrumental tracks and lyrics that do not include references to Christmas directly, religious content or overtly Western values. As a result, the tracks can be implemented by various cultures and over a wider geographical placement.

The company’s aim was to create a soundtrack that empowers listeners to shop comfortably and feel positive about the festive period without religious undertones. While the songs are not overtly related to the Christmas period, the music still has connotations and reminders of what the holiday period is about: celebrations and being surrounded by loved ones.

Mike Sponza, Group Music & Licensing Director, M-Cube, commented: “We wanted to give our customers the possibility to celebrate Christmas all over the world, in a way that unified cultures. There’s no doubt that Christmas is a very western tradition, deeply embedded with our system of values. However, we live in a globalised world, where different cultures and religions coexist in the same places. This music selection ensures our customers can celebrate the holiday in the most inclusive way.”
