Jask Creative Celebrates 20 Years in Business

Leading Solihull agency Jask Creative are celebrating two decades in business as one of the Midland’s most progressive creative agencies.

This November marks twenty years since the company was founded by three school friends, who had a vision to form an agency built on friendship, honesty, and ‘doing it better’.

Founders Matt Ansell, Phil Kean and Stuart Jordan have been best friends since early childhood citing “respecting each other’s opinions and regular visits to the pub” as the secret behind their long-lasting friendship and professional bond.

Starting as a design and print company in 2002, Jask swiftly grew in creative strength, expanding into website development, photography and videography in the years following the agency’s formation.

Jask grew further into media production through the 2019 acquisition of SM2 Studio, a specialist photography agency based in Wolverhampton.

This was followed up in 2020 with the addition of ASM, a videography agency with whom the agency had already worked with for several years. Clients such as Umbro, McCarthy Stone, Bovis Homes and The FA have been among a raft of client wins for this side of the agency’s business.

With an increasing number of high-profile sports and lifestyle clients, Jask launched sister company Unmarked Agency, a specialist sports and lifestyle agency. Three years on Unmarked Agency has become the go-to creative agency for sports photography, videography and creative for some of the most illustrious brands in the UK.

Reminiscing on the early days, founder and Client Services Director Phil Kean, says: “Our first office was the size of a broom cupboard, with just one computer with no internet access. We would drive home to pick up emails! In the early months, we worked through the night, alongside our regular day jobs. We’re hugely proud that some of our early clients are still clients today, and we’ve never relied on external finance or borrowings. We focussed on doing things the right way, rather than rapid growth, so our expansion over the years has always been funded through reinvested profits and a carefully planned approach.”

Based in Solihull, Jask continues to expand, with annual turnover of over £2million. The agency now employs 26 staff, with specialists in creative design, branding, web development, photography, and videography. They also support several local initiatives and charities, such as Good Shepherd Ministry in Wolverhampton.

Founder and Managing Director, Stuart Jordan, comments: “We are so proud of where Jask is today. To mark our milestone twentieth year, we’ve rebranded our agency, designed a new website and refocused our core areas. We have an ambitious growth strategy in place for 2023, doubling our office space within the next six months and expanding our team further. We’re also planning a big staff party to thank our hardworking team and celebrate twenty years in business!”

Jask Creative boast a diverse set of clients across both B2B and professional services including Bibby Financial Services, Quilter, Bovis Homes, Dennis Eagle and National Express.
