Introducing Ctrl Alt – an innovative new alternative investment marketplace that is opening up the previously exclusive world of alternative investments

Regulatory compliant app enables eligible investors to buy digital shares in property, sustainability projects and more with as little as £10

Ctrl Alt, the app that enables investments in alternative assets with as little as £10, is now available to download from app stores. Founded by an experienced team of financial services and technology experts, Ctrl Alt is set to change the alternative investment universe by providing its users access to assets that have so far been available to only the wealthiest in society.

“I’m thrilled to be publicly launching Ctrl Alt, one of the first regulatory compliant platforms of its kind. At the heart of Ctrl Alt is our innovative technology and structure, built with years of expertise and most importantly, with our end user at its core,” said Matt Ong, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ctrl Alt. “We’re on a mission to open up the previously exclusive world of alternatives and challenge the notion of ownership. Now more than ever, investment opportunities must diversify and provide access,” he added.

The free-to-use app allows its users to access alternative assets like property, sustainability projects and more by purchasing digital shares that have legal recourse to the underlying asset. By leveraging their partnership with blockchain partner Algorand, they are able to take full advantage of a digital format that is operationally efficient, secure and transferable.

Ctrl Alt has already tokenised their first asset in the summer amongst their Beta community.

With this, Ctrl Alt have become one of the first in the industry to tokenise a house, demonstrating the ability of their framework and the technology it is built on, while also challenging the traditional ways and capital needed to invest in alternatives.

The platform launches with a holiday home-rental asset from their partner The Tiny Housing Co, the developers of beautifully designed, eco-friendly, off-grid homes. These one or two bedroom houses are making the ever growing Tiny Home / alternative living movement possible. Built using sustainable materials, costing between £50,000-£70,000. Investors will be able to own a share of a holiday with strong returns. In the pipeline are other assets, including a novel sustainability project in the UK.

FAQs:

Q: Who can invest?

A: Anyone can sign up to the platform. They will then be asked a few questions to show what assets they can invest in. For now, only eligible UK investors can invest but the app will be available to the rest of Europe and beyond soon.

Q: Where are the assets stored?

A: Storage depends on the asset and is detailed in the description on our app. For example, watches are stored in a bank vault in London and whisky casks are stored in bonded warehouses in Scotland. In all instances the asset is insured and stored appropriately.

Q: Why invest in alternative assets?

A: Alternative assets are typically uncorrelated to assets like stocks which can help lower the risk profile of an investor’s overall investment portfolio while taking advantage of any potential increase in value

About Ctrl Alt

Ctrl Alt is a unique regulatory compliant platform built on Blockchain technology through which a wider audience of consumers can invest in fractions of alternative assets like property, green energy and whisky with as little as £10. The fractions or shares owned by investors are represented as tokens which are fungible, equivalent and freely exchangeable for each other. Ctrl Alt’s multi-asset proposition and expert asset partners makes it a trustworthy marketplace for alternative investments that is accessible to not just the most wealthy. The platform is currently open to UK investors only but will be available to the rest of Europe in the future. For more information and FAQs, please visit ctrl-alt.co
