Europa Road continues its investment in staff

Europa Road, part of pioneering logistics operator Europa Worldwide Group, continues to nurture the talents of its staff with industry-standard training opportunities.

Despite joining the team just two years ago with no prior logistics experience, Fleet Administrator based at the firm’s Dartford headquarters Darcy Cook has passed her Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

Europa continues to invest in staff, with an average of one internal promotion a month, the introduction of new HR roles to ensure even better support and training and development opportunities to nurture staff and grow talent.

A CPC is a Level 3, industry-standard qualification that must be held by Transport Managers and is no easy feat to achieve, especially for someone as young as 22-year-old Darcy who sat her exam earlier this year.

General Manager of Domestic Transport, Malcolm Castle, commented on Darcy’s success: “We’re extremely proud of Darcy. For someone so young, who’s new to the industry, to show such professionalism is extraordinary. This is an amazing achievement.

“We always strive to invest in our staff and build team Europa internally, giving team members the reassurance that they will receive all the training they need with our backing.”

Europa Worldwide Group has seen huge growth, with its record turnover of £300 million last year being announced at the EuropaCom staff conference recently. The company continues to expand its national and international footprint with Europa Road opening an additional three branches in the UK.

Achievements like Darcy’s directly result from staff investment and a positive working culture. On passing her CPC Darcy said: “It’s a big achievement and at times was quite challenging. But I worked very hard and with the support of the team and Europa was able to pass. I’m incredibly proud of myself!

“It’s opportunities like this that attracted me to Europa alongside the work ethic and friendly nature of the company, it really feels like you’re part of a family.”

Europa is committed to its staff and places high value on their education within each individual department across its three divisions – Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse – with continuous opportunities for its staff to progress within the company.
