Creams Cafe is best dessert franchise in EF100

Creams Cafe has made the esteemed Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) in its first-ever year of consideration for the ranking. The annual league table, which compiles the top 100 franchisors in the UK, has hundreds of entrants apply across every sector each year in competition for a coveted spot on the list. This year, Creams Cafe has taken position 37 – the highest-ranked dessert restaurant franchise in the UK, a title the brand will hold for the duration of 2023.

Established in 2017 in association with HSBC, the EF100 recognises and celebrates the leading franchises across all sectors. In addition to eight key assessment areas including finances and the brand’s contribution to local and wider communities, the league this year also ranked franchises based on its abilities to proactively plan ahead in the current turbulent economic landscape.

Considering these criteria, Creams Cafe is leading the way for other dessert and restaurant franchises in the hospitality sector. Franchise partners receive pre-launch business planning reviews, and a dedicated Business Manager is on hand throughout their journey – these are just two of the provisions Creams put in place to ensure each franchise location is a success. Other measures were initiated throughout the year such as an Emergency Support Package should franchise partners be concerned by the cost-of-living and energy crisis.

“We feel that Creams Cafe has truly earned its place in the Elite Franchise Top 100 list,” said Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise. “This definitive Top 100 ranking exemplifies the very best of franchisors in the UK. Each year, the ranking becomes more competitive, and this year has been no exception for our panel of industry-leading judges.

“During judging, we take into account entrants’ sales and growth figures as well as the training and support systems in place for their network of franchisees. This year, brands were also judged on any measures they initiated to survive the damaging aftereffects of the pandemic, along with how they would continue to grow their brand during the current financial crisis. Securing a place in the top 100 is a testament to all that Creams has achieved over the past year,” added Anita Roberts, Franchise Director at HSBC UK.

Othman Shoukat, Managing Director at Creams Cafe, said, “We’re incredibly proud to have ranked so highly on this prestigious list, especially considering it’s our first time entering. We’re constantly investing in the future of our franchise network – from appointing our new CEO to introducing new incentives for our customers and building great industry partnerships.”
