Creams Cafe celebrates summer of success with launch of one-of-a-kind training centre

International dessert parlour franchise, Creams Cafe, is celebrating a summer of unquestionable success as no fewer than four new locations open their doors in key markets across the UK. Alongside an exciting relaunch of the Nottingham location, a brand-new training academy and Centre of Excellence.

This specialist facility, which sits within the same unit as the brand’s northern flagship Nottingham restaurant, welcomed franchise partners to undertake their training for the first time in early September. Offering world-class initial training and ongoing development for franchise partners and restaurant management teams, this Centre of Excellence acts as a hub for those new to Creams and those with established businesses.

“Having grown as quickly as we have in recent years, it’s imperative that we unify our network by delivering consistent training to both our franchise partners and to the teams that work in their locations. Demand for our business model in the north of the nation has increased post-pandemic, with the appeal of our high-quality desserts and impeccable customer service establishing us as the nation’s most-loved dessert parlour. We’re proud to have launched this new facility and reopened the adjoining restaurant after months of renovations. This is the sign of things to come for Creams Cafe in the north and further afield,” explained Othman Shoukat, Managing Director.

The latest franchise partner to invest in Creams’ quick service restaurant business model is Guneet Madhang. At just 23 years old, Guneet has taken over operations of the existing restaurant in Guildford – and he has his sights set on expanding throughout the region in the not-too-distant future.

“I first enquired about the Creams investment opportunity during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst other business owners were hunkering down in fear of financial ruin, I was adamant that an investment in the recession-proof food service industry would be the perfect addition to my existing retail business portfolio. At the time, the territory I wanted to invest in wasn’t available. But earlier this year the existing Guildford restaurant came up for sale and, with the benefits of an active, loyal customer base, I jumped at the chance.

“I’m so committed to the Creams Cafe business model and the stellar support provided by the head office team that I’m already making the initial steps towards becoming a multi-unit operator. As a young entrepreneur, I’m looking forward to seeing where the next decade with Creams will take me. Five years from now, I’d like multiple restaurants and plan to expand internationally too. There’s no limit to what I can achieve as a Creams Cafe franchise partner, and that’s very exciting for me,” explained Guneet.

Alongside the launch of Guneet’s new venture, over the course of the busy summer period, franchise partner-operated locations have opened in New Haw and Hammersmith. Boosted by national marketing campaigns, such as sundae giveaways during National Ice Cream Week in July, and reaching audiences of over 47 million, additional customers were driven to in-store purchases and online orders.

With over 30 multi-unit franchise partners operating an estate of around 100 locations across the length and breadth of the UK, Creams is primed to reached its target of 500 stores globally in the next five years.
