Construction consultancy Bentley appointed to new STAR Procurement Framework

BENTLEY APPOINTED TO NEW STAR PROCUREMENT FRAMEWORK

Leading construction consultancy Bentley has secured a place on the new STAR Procurement Framework. The firm has been appointed to Lot 3 which has a wide scope focusing on project management, delivery and commercial support.

The framework is available for use by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, all Greater Manchester authorities, Blackpool Council, St. Helens Council, the Unity Partnership and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). This appointment marks an important milestone for Bentley as it aims to undertake more work in the Northwest region throughout 2024 and beyond.

Mark Collins, executive director and framework manager at Bentley, said: “As a business it was always our intention to expand into the Northwest and although we have carried out a number of projects in the region already, the appointment on the STAR Framework will allow us to work in the area on a more regular basis.

“We see this as a major opportunity to expand our core service offer in the public sector and continue our ongoing investment in creating a presence in the Northwest, something which we’re excited about given the synergy with our successes in the East Midlands and the current programme of projects in the Northwest.

“We’re confident we can provide a great service to the various councils that utilise the framework thanks to our deep understanding on delivering projects on time, within budget and to a high standard. We’re also well versed with securing funding, a service which could be of benefit following the Levelling Up Fund’s substantial allocation to the Northwest.”

The framework runs for two years until the end of 2025, with a two-year extension option, and allows for appointment via direct award or mini-competition.

Established in 2013, Bentley is based in Nottingham and specialises in project development and cost management, delivering large scale strategic, residential and commercial schemes for both the public and private sectors. The consultancy is currently celebrating a ground-breaking 2023, which saw the business work on 60 projects, many of which are of national importance, move to a new office and welcome a range of experienced team members.
