Housebuilder Bellway Manchester turned pink for charity during the month of October, with its popular development, Park Gate Village on Parkgate Lane in Knutsford, raising £1662 for Breast Cancer UK.
Lin and Chantelle, Bellway’s sales advisors at Park Gate Village, hosted afternoon tea at the development inviting residents and interested purchasers to attend. Having dressed the sales and marketing suite in pink, and with a fabulous pink free flow balloon display at the entrance of the development, all guests were encouraged to bake a cake and bring it along.
The event was a great success. Amelia Shaw and Maureen Garner, from Knutsford, were chosen by Bellway Sales Manager Lynne Duxbury as the winners of the cake competition, receiving a £75 gift voucher each.
Lynne says: “Hosting the Breast Cancer Awareness event was a wonderful way to reconnect with residents at Park Gate Village, as well as spend time getting to know potential purchasers. It was a really relaxed afternoon, and all the cakes were superb.”
In addition to the event at Park Gate Village, Bellway Manchester hosted a series of events for Breast Cancer UK during October at Grey Gables Farm in Bamber Bridge, Marmalade at the Jam Factory in Droylsden and Royal Bowland Park in Westhoughton.
Lynne concludes: “Being involved in the local community is so important to Bellway and we are thrilled to have raised £1662 for such an important cause.”
