WorkBuzz has appointed Lewis North as its first full-time Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to drive forward the development of its employee engagement platform.
Lewis North joins from Method & Class – a software development agency that he ran for 15 years. His extensive experience of developing a cross-section of software systems, from telemedicine platforms through to car hire apps, provides an excellent foundation for taking the WorkBuzz platform to the next level and making it a pioneering service for enhancing the employee experience.
“My vision is to develop the WorkBuzz platform so that it becomes totally frictionless for HR and business leaders to interact with employees in real time, understand the results and take meaningful actions to positively impact the employee experience,” says North.
Launched in 2018, WorkBuzz has now doubled in size and is expected to grow by 50 per cent this year. The company’s appointment of Lewis North is key to advancing the employee engagement platform’s functionality and usability, creating a leading solution for data-driven people decisions. Lewis’s role will also involve establishing a UK-based engineering team to support the 14-strong Polish development team.
North says, “To fulfil our ambitious plans for the platform, we are adding three highly talented engineers from the UK to the team to support our Polish colleagues. This strategy will enable closer collaboration between all departments, facilitate better communication, and enable even smoother tech delivery.”
