Vidicode UK strengthened by ex-Retell call recording employees.

It was 2002 when Everton Stuart, a jolly 24-year-old, joined call recording manufacturer Retell, fresh from Loughborough University clutching his Polymer Technology degree. ‘That big, hearty laugh and enthusiasm struck us all’, recalls Steven Cobley Retell’s BDM at the time.

Stuart’s customer-facing skills and grasp of technical matters resulted in quick promotions. First Office Manager, then Regional Sales Manager and on leaving to set up call recording company Vidicode UK in 2015, he was Retell’s, Commercial Director.

Since then, Stuart has driven Vidicode UK to new heights with the flagship recording system, Apresa. Bundled with ground-breaking features for tomorrow’s customers, many features, chargeable by other vendors, are supplied free.

A UK partner community has grown. They have supplied clients from car dealerships to health insurance companies, doctors, to lone worker operations. Partners are supported by Everton and by Vidicode HQ in The Netherlands, where the R&D team has thirty years of experience and the flexibility to meet bespoke customer and OEM requirements.

In February 2022, when Retell entered liquidation, Stuart purchased their IP, website and goodwill. He re-employed former colleagues Gemma Page, Tracy and Derek Smith to cover admin, customer services and technical support. Vidicode UK continues to offer support to former Retell partners with an installed base of Retell Sense call recording systems.

Vidicode UK is further strengthened by marketeer and former Retell MD Steven Cobley, Mick Schronenburger and Peter Jarvis, former directors of call recording giant Cybertech.

The innovations of 2022, including lower cost extension side 3CX recording and secure Microsoft Teams recording, will be complemented with a new secure SIM-based mobile recording solution, currently in Beta testing. Stuart concludes, ‘Our flexible approach to call recording and the great experience of the UK team will ensure end customer requirements are exceeded in 2023 and beyond’.
