This is Milk hires fresh talent with 15 new jobs as growth continues

Glasgow-based agency This is Milk, founded by entrepreneur Angela Prentner-Smith announces rapid growth and restructuring for its team.

In under one year, This is Milk has more than doubled the size of its team from a core body of 11 to 26 members, 17 permanent and nine consultants.

This expeditious growth took place over the past eight months to accommodate This is Milk’s pivot into a technology company.

This is Milk is currently seeking £1m of investment for its ‘neurodiversity first’ online learning platform, Neve Learning. Investors will receive a share in This is Milk, which has doubled its annual turnover for each of the last three years.

Prentner-Smith and her colleague, Chief Technology Officer Piotr Zieliński were recently recognised by the BIMA 100 which celebrates the UK’s most influential people in digital and tech.

Angela Prentner-Smith said: “As the company grows and the structure changes, This is Milk continues to retain a flat structure which helps to keep the workplace psychologically safe and inclusive.

“This structure maintains improved communication, flexibility and agility, and empowers the team by giving them more responsibility and autonomy which fosters a sense of ownership and accountability, driving innovation”.

The growth and restructure will help support the commercialisation of Neve Learning, as they begin to onboard a range of early adopters.

Neve Learning is a cloud-based Ed-Tech platform designed to help training providers and organisations manage and deliver learning in a more inclusive way, embracing the reality that everyone’s brain works differently, and is aligned with a future-focused education framework.

It is being built to accommodate the needs of all learners through its accessible features and design and acknowledges differences in learning styles. This includes supporting neurodivergent characteristics such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Autism or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Angela Prentner-Smith said: “We needed to provide growth opportunities by repositioning the organisation to focus on Neve Learning as an intrinsic part of the business.

“Creating a strong, supportive, working environment where colleagues can play to their own strengths whilst still being able to support others and lead in their own areas of expertise is something that we are passionate about.”

David Scott, Commercial Director at This is Milk said: “As we experience exponential growth and with the excitement building around the development of Neve Learning at such a rapid rate, an expansion of our team is proving beneficial.”

This is Milk continues to deliver its award-winning core services such as Business Transformation, Service Design, Digital Strategy. They most recently launched a Psychology Safety Indexing service which has been warmly received by several of their global clients.
