Tech Company This is Milk to Host Panel Event on Psychological Safety

The award-winning tech company, This is Milk is set to host one of their hugely popular in-person Milk Bar events in Glasgow from 10am-12.30 on Thursday 22nd June. The theme is psychological safety, and this free event is open to all, with organisers encouraging attendees from across Scotland’s business community.

Psychological safety is a key factor in creating a productive and inclusive workplace. It refers to the feeling of safety that employees have to take risks and share their ideas without fear of repercussions.

Creating a psychologically safe workplace is part of ensuring you are more than a diverse organisation and one which fosters a culture where everyone can flourish.

Leanne Mcguire, Communications and Communities Manager at This is Milk said “ This is not just an ordinary panel discussion; it’s an opportunity to reshape your understanding of workplace dynamics and we’re aiming to host around 80 guests.”

The Milk Bar event will be held at Impact Arts in Glasgow city centre, as thought leaders unveil the path to a workplace where authenticity thrives, diversity knows no limits, and inclusion becomes the cornerstone of success.

The esteemed panel of experts includes This is Milk MD and Founder, Angela Prentner-Smith, Dr Carrie Ballantyne (University of the West of Scotland), Karrell Simms (xDesign) and Gordon Kedslie (Cobry) and Kerry Freeman (Freehuman) will guide you through the intricacies of cultivating a psychologically safe workplace that fuels inclusion.

The panel will discuss the importance of psychological safety in the workplace, how to create a psychologically safe environment, and how to measure the impact of psychological safety.

Angela Prentner-Smith said: “Whether you are a business owner or an employee this is the event for you if you’d like to learn more about psychological safety and the positive impact it has on your organisation.

Psychological safety is an environment where we feel safe to speak up, to challenge the status quo and try new things, supported by leadership. Though psychological safety is at the core of high-performing cultures.

Creating an environment where you can challenge the status quo, is good for everyone, but fundamental to an inclusive workplace. If your thinking and actions don’t align with the status quo, a workplace that only allows for the status quo – excludes you by design.”
