Specialist Recruiter Coleman James Makes Eleven Hires During Strong Period Of Growth

Specialist Rail, Construction and Facilities Management Recruiter Coleman James, headquartered in Hoults Yard, Newcastle, with offices in Doncaster and London, has made a raft of new appointments amidst strong growth.

The firm, now in its sixth year, has welcomed 11 new team members since the start of 2022. Appointments include Nikki Blenkhorn as Associate Director, Facilities Management. Daniel Murphy joins her as Senior Consultant, Facilities Management, Laura Smith as Operations Manager, Jenna Walmsley as Operations Coordinator, alongside Resourcers James Nicell and Ethan Garretty.

The firm’s new Doncaster office officially opened in January and has now welcomed onboard Jordan Ives-Stanbra as Associate Director alongside Chantelle Morris and Mykell Beal as Rail Consultants and Rail Resourcer Lauren Marsh, as the Rail team accelerates its growth.

Senior Rail Consultant, Ryan Dawson has also joined Coleman James. He is based in Shoreditch, London where the firm recently established a third office, as it scales its team in the South to meet increasing demand.

The company, founded in 2016, now employs 22 members of staff across its offices and is currently recruiting a further eight team members this year, in addition to its latest appointments. These include a range of roles within the Architecture, Rail, Construction and Facilities Management divisions, as well as a number of operational positions.

Coleman James partners with a range of SMEs and PLCs including AmcoGiffen, Commercial Maintenance Services (CMS), EQUANS (formerly Engie Regeneration) and Wilson Gray Consulting Limited. From graduates to executives, it recruits for a full range of roles in the architecture, construction, civil engineering, building services, facilities management, housebuilding and rail sectors.

It recently signed an exclusive master vendor agreement to become the sole recruitment partner to national rail technology infrastructure company ADComms. The contract will see Coleman James recruit around 80 roles for the high-growth telecommunications firm, which works with rail and network firms including Transport for London.

Commenting on the new appointments, Founder and Managing Director, Andrew Mackay, said; “We are delighted to welcome our new team members to the Coleman James family. They add strength and depth to our already successful and experienced group of consultants. Nikki brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and will spearhead our Facilities Management division. While Josh Haggart, Jordan Ives-Stanbra and Ryan Dawson continue to develop our South Yorkshire and London Rail teams.

“It’s exciting to see our growth accelerating into 2022 after six years of hard work to build a team and culture that values excellence, knowledge, partnership working and integrity. The expansion of both our team and offices across Newcastle, Doncaster and London is all thanks to the dedication of our people. Many of our clients have been with us since the very beginning and we are attracting an increasing number of businesses in the built environment and rail sectors, that value our partnership approach and our focus on delivery, and this is fuelling our growth.

“We’ve worked hard to create a culture that nurtures and supports excellence, progression and inclusion. We invest heavily in team development and are a place where everyone with the right attitude can thrive and be their best in a fun and welcoming environment. We’re looking forward to our recruits being part of our bright future.”
