Set sail on a voyage of discovery at Millennium Point this February half-term

Stuck for things to do this February half-term? Set a course for Millennium Point, where the free 21 Pirates Discovery event will feature a range of fun activities, installations and adventures. Discover interactive artwork inspired by film, video games, comic books, music and technology.

Discover the ‘11th mystery of the sea of creativity’ through the world of art and technology
Hop aboard the pirate ship installation as you step into a world of discovery through the eyes of talented multimedia artists
Witness inspiring film screenings
Play video games for fun or duke it out with a friendly rival in the competitive scene with gaming entertainment provided by Electronic Dojo
Enjoy live music from a variety of international music artists
Step into the world of comic books superheroes in short stories full of action, suspense and comedy

The free exhibition by creative art group 21 Pirates runs from 10am to 6pm on February 25th and 26th.

Abbie Vlahakis, Millennium Point CEO, commented: “The 21 Pirates art is sure to look incredible in the striking Millennium Point surroundings. I can’t wait to experience it and board the famous pirate ship.”

Notes to editors: ABOUT MILLENNIUM POINT AND THE MILLENNIUM POINT CHARITABLE TRUST Opened in 2001, Millennium Point is the largest landmark millennium project in England, outside of London. Inside, it is home to unique event spaces including a 350-capacity auditorium, flexible workspaces, meeting rooms and offices, and tenants, including ThinkTank and Birmingham City University (BCU). All of the commercial activity that takes place in the Millennium Point building feeds back into the Millennium Point Charitable Trust, enabling the charity to donate, invest and facilitate more than £3.25m to STEM-related organisations, projects and initiatives in the West Midlands, during 2022. Situated opposite the new HS2 Curzon Street Station, Millennium Point and the Millennium Point Trust champion and facilitate meetings and partnerships between businesses, educators and the next generation of STEM leaders across the region.
