Psychologist Dr Rina Bajaj’s new book explains how to achieve self-empowerment in just 30 days

In today’s society, more often than not, people are over-stimulated and over-busy. It can be hard to find opportunities to stop and reflect on how they are thinking and feeling, choosing to live and their relationships with others.

Dr. Rina Bajaj believes that in order for people to regain clarity and reconnect with their inner-truth and identity, they must learn how to reflect and ‘step into their magic’, choosing to invest in themselves. Dr. Bajaj is a British-Asian Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over seventeen years’ clinical experience within the field of mental health and wellbeing.

In her new book The Magic in Me, Rina unpacks the effect people’s early attachments have on them, the power and importance of relationships, and the need for self-reflection. The book explores her professional and life experience in psychology, spiritual practices and self-development.

Broken down into three main sections; the relationship with the self, relationships with others and connecting with individuals’ own identity, wants and needs; the book offers readers daily exercises designed to help them strengthen their connection to their true authentic self. Spanning a recommended thirty days, with journaling space provided within the pages, readers will be encouraged to make time for reflection to boost their inner confidence, self-worth and purpose.

However, not promising to be a quick-fix, Rina emphasises that the book is an aid for readers’ self-empowerment, not self-improvement. The Magic in Me can also be used to complement different types of therapies and can be dipped in and out of when required.

The Magic in Me is the ideal read for anyone wanting to work on themselves, their relationships and their behaviours. Through it, Rina will guide readers on their own personal journey of self-discovery, exploring topics such as attachment styles, self-love, boundaries in relationships, challenging inner critical voices and more. Plus, with relaxation and mindfulness tips included at the end of the book, readers will come away feeling more aligned, calmer, and on the path to becoming who they were always meant to be.

The Magic in Me is published by Rethink Press and available on Amazon.
