Pace’s Chip Shop Glory

Hull-based creative communications agency Pace has won a prestigious industry award.

Pace Communications won a coveted Chip Shop Award at last night’s ceremony (30th June).

Anita Pace, MD at Pace, said: “The Chip Shop Awards are recognised in our industry for their creative freedom. To be able to exercise our creative juices, unrestricted by a brief, is something we relish. I am delighted we have won and really appreciate the recognition from our peers that this award represents.”

The Chip Shop Awards are unique, open to everyone and organised by The Drum, the biggest marketing website in Europe.

There are no rules and entries can include a campaign idea for a product that doesn’t yet exist or even an improvement to an existing advert.

Pace’s award-winning entry came top in the Best Retail category and was inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Wonderbra. The team gave the famous Wonderbra ‘Hello Boys’ campaign a feminine twist which also acts as a reminder to women to check their breasts for any signs of cancer.

Anita said: “This is our third Chip Shop Award, having won two in 2020, and is testament to the creativity of the whole team. This award also comes on the back of two other industry award wins in recent weeks so it’s brilliant that the team’s work is being recognised.”

Pace’s clients include the sustainable cleaning brand Bio-D, Yorkshire housing developer Beal Homes, luxury holiday home manufacturer Victory Leisure Homes and international waste plastic road company MacRebur.

The agency will celebrate its seventh anniversary this year and continues to expand its client base focusing on consumer and B2B PR, social media, creative content and design services.

Notes to editors

Pace is an award-winning creative communications agency established in Hull in 2015 by Anita Pace. The 21-strong team of creatives, marketing, PR and social media experts is passionate about creating brilliant content and delivering campaigns that get brands noticed, engage the right audiences and create demand. The Chip Shop Awards are so named following a creative winning a number of advertising accolades for the work he did to promote his mum’s chippy in the 1990s. This inspired The Drum to launch Chip Shop, to allow anyone to compete on an international scale and get their work in front of its esteemed judging panel.
