Nexus Residential and Legacie Developments reach practical completion on major Liverpool property development

Prominent Liverpool-based developers Nexus Residential and Legacie Developments have reached practical completion on their North Liverpool property project.

The joint venture between the two businesses is a luxury modern apartment development, constructed on the northern perimeter of the city centre, with keys handed over to tenants in July.

City Residence Apartments, located on Lemon Street, comprises 78 contemporary one and two-bedroom units across four newly built blocks which breathes new life into a key area within one of Liverpool’s most important regeneration zones.

The upper floor apartments include impressive views of Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront and overlook the site of Everton’s forthcoming Bramley Moore Dock stadium.
The multi-million-pound funding facility has been delivered by the institutional lender Together who have worked with Nexus and Legacie on other development projects.

Meanwhile, the scheme was promoted by international sales agent, RWInvest, who successfully pre-sold all new homes off-plan.

Michael Gledhill, Managing Director of Nexus Residential, said:

“It is fantastic the homes on Lemon Street are already fully occupied and this development perfectly illustrates how the Liverpool rental market remains incredibly strong.

“There is a real need for affordable luxury in the city and we have guaranteed these standards with Lemon Street, in an ideal gateway location to reach all areas of the city.

“This has been a major investment which created jobs and regenerated the area of a former brownfield site with quality new homes.

“City Residence Apartments have completed at an exciting time for the north of Liverpool and we are proud to deliver a luxury development in an iconic location.”

John Morley, CEO of Legacie Developments, said:

“Legacie Developments are delighted to once more deliver luxury living in Liverpool.

“This has been an exciting partnership with Nexus Residential and, alongside Together, this investment has helped us bring new life into an important part of a key Liverpool regeneration zone.

“It is a brilliant feeling to hand over keys to new tenants after completing on a development of the highest quality.”
