Networking Giant Cisco Gives Forfusion First Accolade In North Of England

Forfusion Ltd has achieved the coveted Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation demonstrating its commitment to drive positive environmental change and creating an inclusive future

Global networking hardware giant Cisco has awarded its prestigious Environmental Sustainability Specialisation to Forfusion, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Forfusion is the first Cisco supplier in the North of England to receive the accolade to date.

Created by Cisco earlier this year, this latest specialisation rewards partners for supporting Cisco’s sustainability pledge and participating in the organisation’s global initiative to responsibly repurpose or recycle end-of-use products.

Gavin Young, Cisco Partner Account Manager, said “Team Forfusion has achieved the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation, demonstrating commitment to drive positive environmental change and creating an inclusive future.

“This is deserving recognition that Forfusion is not only dedicated to technology advancement such as SD-WAN connectivity – it has a strong moral and environmental compass too.”

The Environmental Sustainability Specialisation equips Cisco partners with the information needed to educate their customers on the benefits of migrating to cloud-enabled solutions while updating older technologies. It also highlights the impact Cisco users can have on the environment by participating in the circular economy.

This initiative is an important step in creating a ‘win-win-win’ opportunity for Cisco partners, its customers and the environment. With the specialisation  and Takeback Incentive, partners will be rewarded for helping customers migrate to the most up-to-date technologies and responsibly dispose of the used hardware enabling them to achieve their sustainability targets.

Newcastle-based Forfusion designs, implements and manages mission-critical networking infrastructure for large public and private sector companies. Forfusion is one of the largest single resource suppliers to Cisco’s Customer Experience team and it has more Cisco-accredited engineers and consultants than any other partner headquartered in the North of England.

Steven Forrest, CEO, Forfusion, said “We are incredibly proud and grateful to have been awarded the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation. This knowledge aligns with our company core values entirely and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

“We always strive to deliver, not just the best for our customers, but to achieve impeccable results with respectful regard for the environment and the communities around us”.

In addition to this accreditation, Forfusion is the only networking infrastructure partner in the North to appoint a dedicated Head of Customer Success: Kevin Almond.

Cisco praised the creation of such a role and how it symbolises the care and dedication Forfusion takes with each client journey.

Gavin Young, Cisco Partner Account Manager, said “Forfusion has not only aligned with Cisco’s strategic imperatives, the team has gone a step further by creating a dedicated department to embed customer success and customer experience into its bespoke delivery method, ADIOlogy. This is a compelling customer first proposition to ensure the delivery of world-class customer-centric services.”

These industry-firsts come as Forfusion continues to deliver mission critical and lifesaving services for large-scale organisations such as NHS Trusts and central government. Forfusion is committed to ensuring businesses have the most reliable, secure, and eco-friendly connection possible, to support their journey to the cloud. Forfusion’s services include switching customers from traditional MPLS networks to SD-WAN technology, to ensure robust site-to-site connectivity, and provide access to on-ramp services from AWS and Microsoft 365 via Express Route.
