A Midlands based accountancy firm has scooped a top award from a leading international professional body.
Harrison Beale & Owen (HB&O), which has offices in Coventry and Leamington, was named Firm of the Year by DFK UK & Ireland, a national association of independent accountancy firms.
The firm was recognised for its contribution to the organisation and the award was decided by UK and Ireland members.
HB&O Managing Director Mark Ashfield recently took on the role of treasurer of the UK & Ireland group, Associate Director Stuart Grosvenor is chair of the Cloud Accounting Group while other members of the team are active in DFK special interest groups covering tax, audit, marketing and HR.
He said: “We’re extremely honoured to have been presented with this award. HB&O have been proud members of DFK UK & Ireland for over seven years and to be recognised for our contribution to the organisation is a great achievement for us as a firm.
“Being a member of DFK UK & Ireland is hugely beneficial for HB&O in a number of ways. It means we can share best practice with independent firms, learn their individual specialisms and interests which ultimately allows us to provide the highest quality advice to our clients as a result.
“It also means our international reach is expanded considerably. As a result, we are able to meet the needs of our clients with international business interests by having links to local expertise and accessing a network of top worldwide firms.
“Being able to offer this is a real selling point for HB&O and we’re extremely grateful to DFK for enabling us to build and maintain relationships with firms across the world.”
HB&O can trace its roots back to 1924 and employs 110 staff across its two offices.
