Healthcare regulatory affairs agency appoints senior consultant to expand reach into medical devices market

Regulatory affairs consultancy Woodley BioReg has appointed Bryan Lister as senior regulatory affairs consultant, specialising in medical devices and human tissue. With over 30 years’ industry experience, Bryan’s skills and knowledge will serve to deepen Woodley BioReg’s participation in the medical device market.

Bryan joins Woodley BioReg from InViva Healthcare Management, an independent commercial and regulatory healthcare consultancy, where for 18 years he provided services in relation to the development and regulation of new medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, and products made from human tissue — and during which he developed an interest in emerging technologies, such as the use of artificial intelligence to aid clinical decision making and diagnoses.

This role saw Bryan working with top universities in the UK — chiefly with their technology transfer offices — as well as variety of med-tech start-ups and well-known healthcare companies.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Ash Ramzan, managing director of Woodley BioReg said: “We’re very pleased to have Bryan on board, and to add his depth of knowledge and insight into the medical device and human tissue sectors to our team.

“We’re looking to expand our reach further into the medical device market, particularly in the cutting-edge technology space. His skills and experience are highly sought after and therefore we’re confident that he’ll add a lot of value to the business.”

Bryan commented: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining such a talented and expert team — Woodley BioReg’s reputation for providing solutions to complex problems in the regulatory space precedes it. I’m looking forward to working with and learning from my new colleagues, who are all experts in their respective specialties, and sharing my own insight.

“I’ve already been able to hit the ground running and start support clients in navigating the constantly shifting regulatory landscape straight away.”

This is the fourth key appointment made by the business in the last six months as the firm looks to reach ambitious growth goals and implement global expansion plans — including the launch of its new Italian subsidiary and office in Milan earlier this year.
