Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists has upgraded its Barnard Castle practice to provide market leading optometry and audiology services to the community.
The recently refurbished practice, located at 12 Market Place, will enable Bayfields’ optometrists to offer a greater breadth of personalised eye testing using industry-best equipment, and will see its audiology services expanded with the addition of a new audiologist in store.
Bayfields has also added an instrument room in the practice, making it more comfortable for clients having eye scans.
Eye appointments at Bayfields are longer than the industry average at 45 minutes, to allow for an extended examination of a person’s eye health and vision as well as gain an understanding of their lifestyle. Advanced eye examinations include OCT scans – assessments which are capable of detecting sight-threatening and wider health conditions.
As a Zeiss partner, Bayfields will provide its range of industry-leading lenses and smart lenses to clients, as well as spectacles and specialist sunglasses from designers including Oakley, Tiffany, Ted Baker, Christian Lacroix, Ray-Ban and Hugo Boss. Bayfields’ high quality contact lens service is on offer, which includes its Brilliance Luma range, developed in partnership with lens experts CooperVision last year.
Founded in 2004, Bayfields has grown from a leading name in optical health provision in Yorkshire to a national brand known for its family and community values.
Chris Burdis, Practice Manager, said: “Our Barnard Castle practice is a true community asset, so we’ve invested into this refurbishment, providing new equipment to enhance the client experience, to make it an even more valuable part of the local area.
“As well as improving our facilities to ensure the people of the town receive the highest quality ear and eye care possible, we’re also expanding and welcome people in the local area to consider joining our brilliant team.
“We want to make being a client of Bayfields a truly personal and individual experience, and hope the community of Barnard Castle will benefit from the steps we’ve taken to achieve this.”
