Ambrey Baker strengthens leadership team with senior appointment

Ambrey Baker, a leading provider of design & build solutions for food, beverage, and temperature-controlled store sector clients has hired an industry expert, to help support the company in the next phase of its growth plans.

Michael Roughan joins Ambrey Baker from a leading construction firm Bowmer + Kirkland, bringing 40 years of experience in senior operations management. Roughan has been responsible for multiple projects up to £100 million in value, as well as managing the delivery of highly complex, multi-discipline design and build projects throughout the UK. He has particular expertise in both the manufacturing and distribution sectors.

In this new role, Roughan will be supporting the company’s growth strategy, strengthening its client base in the food sector, whilst being responsible for delivery across large-scale projects.

The Lincolnshire based company works with clients across the UK & Ireland such as Pilgrims, Samworth Bros, Greencore and Young’s Seafood, specialising in designing and building food safe environments.

Ambrey Baker has seen a recent surge in new business now that it has become a “one-stop-shop” solutions provider delivering a multi-disciplinary capital projects service. The last two years have been some of the strongest years in the company’s history as it has focussed on repairs, maintenance, small works, and medium-sized turnkey projects of up to £5 million in value

The company has seen a raft of new hires alongside Roughan to support growing demand. Ambrey Baker is seeking further talent for both on-site and the office.
