Crewe-based communications provider answers charity’s £10,000 call

Crewe-based business, Cymphony, has partnered with St Luke’s Hospice in a bid to raise £10,000 for the Cheshire-based charity. The communications provider kickstarted its fundraising with a ‘100k Your Way’ challenge, followed by a number of other activities, including a Queen’s Jubilee Family Fun BBQ, bake offs and a midnight walk. With help from supporters, Cymphony is well on its way to reaching its target figure.

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to the local people of Cheshire, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year the charity supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end-of-life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness.

“We are incredibly grateful for everything Cymphony is doing to help raise money and public awareness for our charity. I know they have a range of great ideas in the pipeline and we’re really excited to work in collaboration with them throughout this year,” said Andy Bailey, the Corporate Partnership Manager for St Luke’s Hospice. “As a charity, we receive just 15% of our funding from the Government, which means we rely on the support of our communities and local businesses to help raise the rest. The fundraising Cymphony is doing will go a long way in helping us provide the best care for vulnerable people in our community.”

“I’m so proud of Cymphony’s partnership with St Luke’s Hospice and delighted that our team has devised a fun-packed programme of fundraising activities throughout 2022, enabling us to reach our target of £10,000. The whole company, coupled with families, friends and the local community, is behind this great cause and together we are spreading the good word about the hospice,” said Tim Morris, Managing Director of Cymphony. “Our next big fundraiser is an evening of Soul and Motown at The Wrights Room, Crewe Alexandra Stadium on 23rd September – this will be a magical black-tie event with a three course dinner, entertainment and an auction to raise money for the charity. It’s going to be a great evening, so make sure you don’t miss out and buy your tickets soon.”
